Sustainable Sawbridgeworth’s first Community Veggie Feast night shows how plant-based meals can be tasty and fun
A Community Veggie Feast night was held in Sawbridgeworth with the aim of bringing people together and showing how plant-based meals can be tasty and fun.
The first such event organised by the Sustainable Sawbridgeworth group, at Sawbridgeworth Memorial Hall on September 21, was declared an overwhelming success.
More than 90 attendees sampled a wide range of vegetarian and vegan dishes, all produced by members and supporters of the local environmental group.
A spokesperson said: “The evening was about bringing the community together, providing them with the opportunity to sample new dishes to then try at home and showing how plant-based meals can be tasty and fun.
“Swapping the occasional meat-based meal for plant-based more often really can impact the climate.”
