Second chance for Bishop’s Stortford residents to have their say on East Herts parking strategy
Bishop’s Stortford residents will have a second chance to voice their views on parking in East Herts.
The district council is hosting a second public engagement session in the town – at Grange Paddocks next Tuesday (October 8) from 6pm to 7.30pm.
The authority runs eight car parks in Bishop’s Stortford, seven in Hertford and Ware and one each in Sawbridgeworth, Buntingford and Stanstead Abbotts.
It says it wants to improve parking to “deliver fairer services and create a healthier, greener environment”.
The council faced criticism about its consultation when the only session scheduled in Bishop’s Stortford was on the edge of town during the day: at St Michael’s Mead Community Centre on Monday September 9, 1pm-3pm.
