Classical pianist and composer Natalie Bleicher will give a free recital at St Michael’s Church in Bishop’s Stortford on Sunday November 24.
The Hertfordshire resident, who studied music at New College, Oxford, composition at King’s College London and piano with Thalia Myers, will perform a 45-minute set from 3pm.
The concert will feature a selection of music from The Zoo in the Sky by Karen Tanaka as well as a plethora of pieces by contemporary composers, including Bleicher herself.
Bleicher has written exam pieces for piano, electronic keyboard and harp which have featured on the Trinity Guildhall syllabus.
In 2022 she was selected for the ABRSM Composers mentoring scheme to further develop her work writing music for education, and her composition London Wall Bass written as part of this scheme is in the syllabus for ABRSM grade 4 double bass.
Homemade tea and cakes will be available after the performance. Entry is free and donations are welcome.
